I think there's a lot of people on this site (and many others) who reveal far too much detail about their interpersonal relationships. It has a tendency to come back and bite you in the ass. Drama doesn't materialize out of thin air. Drama gets created. I prefer not to create my own, and I have limited tolerance for the drama others create. But, I have NO DESIRE to shop for them (I'm a royal comparison shopper on things that do not go on my feet or have a shoulder strap), no desire to set it all up once I have them---no desire to try and get my computer programmed the way I want it to be. I have YEARS on this computer. I have all sorts of crazy things, all saved on backup, but just a royal nightmare to re-do. It will probably, literally, take my computer dying to motivate me to do the fore-mentioned overhaul. And when that happens, rest assure, I'll be doubling up on Xanax to keep me from pulling ever last hair on my head out.Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back. My father can disect a computer and program anything. I can operate one exceptionally well, but if something goes wrong, I'm royally screwed. I can wire circuit breakers, hook-up just about anything, but I know very little to zilch about the interior workings of these things. I have NO interest in it. For whatever reason, my father enjoys knowing how things work. I just enjoy working them. For as much as I use my computer for, it's a sad thing, really. When I first started using a computer it was at work and we all got new Macs. OS 6, if memory serves me. It so happens that File Delete and the Format Disk were both on the same menu pull-down (I didn't know about keyboard shortcuts). Well, you guessed....spent the next 4 months trying to recover what was on the hard drive. I've gotten much better at operating one but still have little to no knowledge of what makes it tick. It will be gorgeous outside, and I watch people get genuinely excited to open up their computer towers and tinker, or download/burn music. I'd rather hang out on the beach and listen to a live band while probably (as long as it's at least Noon) sipping mimosas or mojitos or if its Sunday morning, make that a bloody mary, bartender That's just me...Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
