SkydiveStMarys 0 #1 April 18, 2006 I have watched the soap opera, General Hospital since I was 11...obviously thru the years...it was off and on....lately its been more on with not working...but I admit it, I watch it and could tell you the whole storyline.....and who is whos child, wife, mother, husband, grandson....ex wide, step daughter...It is the best one out to watch! Does anyone else watch one or am I a lone party of one. Lets look at it this way...is there a show that you watch, say, 24....The West Wing? Aren't these types of "soap operas"? They have "running" story lines. BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.

Zipp0 1 #3 April 18, 2006 I wathced it when my cousin was on the show. He played a young mental patient, and his character killed off one of the long time cast favorites sometime in the early 90's. I think his character was named "Cory" or similar. He showed me all of the polaroids he got from women in lingerie (or less) who wanted to meet/date him. Unfortunately for them, he wasn't into the ladies too much. Maybe you remember the character?? Zipp0 -------------------------- Chuck Norris doesn't do push-ups, he pushes the Earth down. PRSKY71 0 #4 April 18, 2006 I almost got sucked into Days of Our Lives again about two weeks ago when I was working from home. Aside from that one day, I had not watched any soaps for about 10 years. They can be addicting which is why I stay well away from them!! Character cannot be made except by a steady, long continued process. -- Phillips Brooks

skymama 37 #7 April 18, 2006 I've watched All My Children on and off since the early 80's. Sometimes I have it on in the background at work. Since it's the soaps, you really don't have to pay too much attention to the shows in order to keep up! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

RkyMtnHigh 0 #11 April 18, 2006 i haven't watched a soap in forever, however when one is on in my customers breakroom, I can't get over that the same characters and people in the roles haven't changed....they don't seem to age much and the story line is easy to pick back up _________________________________________

flyinghonu 0 #14 April 18, 2006 Well...if I was home during the day, I'm sure I'd be watching one of them. But since I'm not, I watch night time soaps. aprilcat 0 #18 April 18, 2006 I've been watching that show forever too. Can't get away from it. I think Erica is retroactively having (discovering??) children. I don't think '24' or the Sopranos qualify as 'soap opera'. They don't drag little secrets out and if they get caught in affairs someone is shot on the spot, you know its coming and you don't have to wait 3 months for people to figure out whats going on...just the payback, jack ~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo! When i was home sick last week i was flipping channels and stopped on Days of our Lives for a bit. I hadn't watched it in like 15 years. It was the same shit.
