waltappel 1 #5 April 13, 2006 Quotesucks except SKYDIVING.... What is the phrase that enters jumpers' minds when they hate their job, they just got dumped, their car is having problems, they hate their landlord, and are having a bad hair day? Now, I'll take "High Spirits" for $200, Alex. Walt

skymama 37 #9 April 13, 2006 I can always tell who the newbies are. Come back after about 300 jumps and tell us if you feel the same way. skymama 37 #12 April 13, 2006 I'm just saying I remember those days in the beginning when skydiving was everything. Then, I got out of the fog and realized it has it's place in life just like everything else. Hasn't your enthusiasm for the sport changed over the years? She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

skymama 37 #15 April 14, 2006 Quotehopefully one day i can get a D license and act superior too.... I really wasn't trying to act superior, not at all. When most people get into skydiving, it's so overwhelming and cool that it's all you want to do or think about. I was the same way, as were just about everyone here on the forums. It's good that you are enthusiastic and I hope it continues because that means you will probably stay in the sport longer. My point is that over the years, you will most likely calm down a little and find that you miss doing some of the things that you used to do. Or you might even find that skydiving has given you the confidence to try something else new that maybe you wouldn't have tried before. You might even go entire weekends without venturing out to the dz. Sounds crazy, I know, but stranger things have happened. So, welcome and I hope you stick around! She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
PLFXpert 0 #16 April 14, 2006 Example: Me. Go back to the first pages of dz.com. Not only was a young (20 then) and new to the sport, but you'll see my participation was limited to sex threads and skydiving discussions. Now that I'm older (25 now) it's just sex threads....and sex threadsPaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
