Guest #27 April 11, 2006 You left out: The Specials The Selecter Madness The Clash The Pretenders Then there were the pop acts: The Human League Eurythmics Thomas Dolby Don't forget that Dire Straits won 1985's Best Rock Grammy for "Money for Nothing" on "Brothers in Arms"... I could go on and on, but then I'd really be showing my age. mh"The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."

JohnMitchell 16 #29 April 11, 2006 Quotethere are waaay to many great songs to even list. i feel badly for those who grew up in the 90's and had to suffer through Pearl Jam and the other depressing songs. You should have been with me in 1989 to see Mother Love Bone in Seattle. Pearl Jam, of course, rose from the ashes of this band. The late 80's were a great time to be around here, Soundgarden, Metallica, Alice in Chains. The scene has come and gone, but it was a lot of fun. Another good 80's band . . .The Pretenders.
