Remster 30 #4 August 25, 2003 Quotegeez, and I thought Point Break was bad... The fact that diamond is the hardest mineral on earth does not make granite any softer to me ( i know, mineral vs rock, so sue me). Same with this. Point break still sucked... lolRemster
turtlespeed 226 #5 August 25, 2003 Point Break was BAD? I'm aghast! My image of the movie is ruined....how depressing.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

DivaSkyChick 0 #8 August 25, 2003 Don't listen to this sacrilige! (spelling?) Point Break is the finest skydiving movie ever made! Gypsy Moths is a close second, with the first ever birdman suits and of course an all star cast including Burt Lancastor and Gene Hackman. --- www.facebook.com/mandyhamptonfitch

hookitt 1 #11 August 25, 2003 I loved Point Break... still do. The freefall was 4 minutes 2 seconds by the way Signing off.. Skilled Dick Brain (oh.. not from jumping out of a 747...it's probablly hard to consider myself skilled either...)My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... freeflygoddess 0 #12 August 25, 2003 Yeah Point Break was the best. I love the "You pull" argument followed by a super low pull open and then splash in the water. How long was what's his face's unoffical highest jump's freefall time any ways?

Bolas 5 #18 April 6, 2006 It's funny this thread was revived. We were talking about skydiving movies this weekend and Cutaway came up. They did get one thing right: Remember when the (Zeppo?) Baldwin was learning to jump and having trouble with landing? In the montage clip, he hits a tent on landing and takes the top off of it. In the tent are 2 topless chicks and a half-naked guy wearing a camera helmet. That one scene they got right. Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.

Jumper: (procedes to punch his belly reserve) i laughed for like 10 min straight, and proceeded to watch the scene over and over again When I was training for my first jump, my JM told me at several points, "Remember, l want to see a good, hard arch." A few weeks later I'm haning out at the dz on a weather day wnd we're watching Fandango. Truman tells Hicks he wants to see a "good, hard arch." My JM who's also watching the movie elbows me saying, "I borrowed that from him."

bmcd308 0 #24 April 6, 2006 Compared to point break, fandango is practically a documentary. New people should watch the Bill Booth video before a tandem, and Fandango before AFF-1. ---------------------------------- www.jumpelvis.com
