In my administration, you will as far away from the Analogies Department as possible. :|

There, there. Don't cry.

Does that mean there is an opening in the Complete Sentance Department?:o

Only if you've been cleared by the Spelling and Grammar Department. :P:D

Which you won't be. So there! Ha! :|

Crap. I hate omitting words. It really puts a kink in my shiny know-it-all armor. [:/]

Oh Shit - Ron's being serious again.

RUN!!!!!

Aw man...you know I used to be 99% serious with about 1% play.

Since I fiqured out how logic has very little use here I lightened up.

I am now 98% serious, 1% play, and 1% bad speller.:P

Actually, the boobie card is ideal for just about anyone, but it gets much more attention if they're your own...

I have tried that and it didn't work for me...I guess I just don't have nice tits.

I hate when it happens; there's this thread, and it's going along nicely, and I'm contributing.

Then, a couple of hours later, I think of the right first answer. shit.

I guess I don't know everything after all [:/]

Yes you do.

It's just that you have to sort through all the info that you have - which is everything . . .and so the processor speed is BOUND to be sluggish.

Its about popularity on here, not about right and wrong.

Once again, we disagree. :D

I think there are some instances of that, but not mostly. And certainly not in SC.

I see people who clearly have their head firmly up their ass get support even when they are so wrong it should be painful.

But wrong by whose standard, Ron? Yours? Mine? There are a lot of times when I see people write things I just plain old don't like, but I may be the only person who sees it that way.

Quote

However, stirring the pot is kinda stupid.

For example, I very much enjoy a good troll, but I don't enjoy a mean troll.

And, IMO, mean trolls do reflect the character of the person who posts them.

Quote

I would have no fear about jumping alone. A good number of folks on here know that this in NOT REAL LIFE.

Well, what do you mean by that, exactly? That we're not responsible for the words we write, and those words do not reflect on us at all? That it's okay to write any old thing you feel like, no matter how mean and offensive, because the internet isn't real?

It is real. It's not the entirety of life, but it is real. And your words are a reflection on you.

Quote

Also, most of the people I have met in real life are not like their on line persona's at all.

My experience has been much different. Superficially, I agree with you. For example, in real life, the gaps in my sentences (as well as the occasional stutter) are apparent, whereas here, they are not. But what I think isn't any different, because my mind doesn't undergo some metamorphosis when I log off. And I'm pretty sure that's true for everyone else too.

And if someone thinks it's okay to be mean online, you can be sure that it will come out in "real life" eventually.

Indeed.

And, as head of The Rebecca Administration's crime & punishment department, I vow to ensure they suck when called upon. The rest of the time, they shall remain in their cells;)

I disagree. Even you admit that there are cases where popularity wins over anything else.

Case in point, when you agreed there was bias in moderation.

It is a pretty natural action. People defend their friends.

By many different standards. Some are clear.

I think you compare this place MUCH to closely with reality. I find that a good number of folks that I do not agree with on here are quite nice in person. I try to meet them without a pre-formed opinion of them....That may be why I have a different outcome than others.

Yes dear. :|

Just remember who I was agreeing with at the time. :D:D

In point of fact, I like Sangiro and all the moderators better than I like you. But you were still right.

To some extent, but for myself, I prefer to tell my friends what I really think.

As casual acquaintances? Yes. Quite nice in person. That comes from having sufficient social skills to avoid being punched in the nose. But my experience is that if you actually befriend such people and offer them a place in your life, it falls apart pretty quickly.
