grue 1 #1 March 24, 2006 I've been flatsleeping for 24 years. Mostly solo sleeps, thousands of them, but enough RW to know that it can be improved on. I'm starting a revolution, and I call it freesleep. Once you're comfortable with the 'normal' flatsleep positions, such as bellysleeping, backsleeping, and even sidesleeping, you can start with your basic sitsleep. http://spiceweasel.net/sitsleep.jpg Once you're comfortable in the sit, and the related stand, which I'm sure you can picture, advanced sitsleepers can move onto the headdownsleep http://spiceweasel.net/headdownsleep.jpg Make sure your rig is freesleep compatible (no loose zippers, pilotcrotch stowed safely, no pins exposed), and that you use at least one audible sleeptimeter, in addition to a visual, preferably glow-faced.cavete terrae. SUPERConnie 0 #10 March 24, 2006 Ever notice, you can tell which of us Skydivers' DZ are in a seasonal weather area? And which of us can't afford to go where it's warmer, when our DZ closes down for the season? And which of us are still trying to recover from the expense of coming off student status? hookitt 1 #12 March 24, 2006 Freak Sleeping was simply sleeping on the back, like in a lounge chair or a recliner. It may have been the predecessor to Freesleeping but Freak Sleeping really was its own deal. Grue really is the first to begin exploring the envelope of sleeping. One must admire Grue. Rather than hide it from the masses for a couple years while he perfected it, selected his few Freesleep clones and create a school, (as mentioned above) he chose to share it in its infancy. Thanks to Grue, Freesleep Clone #1, Also known as the Father of Freesleep (no trademark) this odyssey of sleep can progress right away.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... turtlespeed 221 #13 March 24, 2006 Does this mean we can have the freesleep games? I had heard that the first "freesleep" was actually done by a student and the ideas and methods were just expanded upon.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun
