Yes.

If its something important or a question that's important for me that I need a timely response with, I'll leave a message.

If its just everyday chit chat I'm not going to leave a message saying "hey, just called to see whats up..." since they know that already, I'm on the caller ID.

i always leave a message cause i usually like getting them...if someone calls me, i'd like to know what they were calling about so i know the urgency of their call.. thats just me though :)

i leave serious messages for business or my co- workers. if it's a message for my friends i'll sing a few lines from a song we both know, or if i'm driving i'll hold the phone down by the speaker for a few seconds. then i'll say "call me back" and hang up. cheers

If I hang up without leaving one, I feel like I hung up on the person I was calling...and I was raised to believe that is rude.

Recently, I called a friend while another friend was with me. He INSISTED that I hang up without leaving a message, no matter how rude I thought it was. I did...just to appease him...but thoroughly apologized when I DID talk to them.

For me it depends on who it is. If it’s a business contact I leave a message. If its one of my friends and I know I will see them shortly I hang up unless its something important like Hey pick up two bottles of red wine while your at the liquor store.
