skydivermom 0 #1 March 22, 2006 We went out to eat Chinese the same day we met with our realtor. I usually find the messages in the fortune cookies to be pretty cheesy, but I didn't this time. My husband's read..."this is a great day to handle those real estate matters!" ....and as if that wasn't wierd enough, mine said "The path of life shall lead upwards for you!" If 10,500 ft. isn't upwards then I don't know what is! Anyone else ever gotten anything interesting out of those cookies!Mrs. WaltAppel All things work together for good to them that love God...Romans 8:
Laurel 0 #2 March 22, 2006 I always add "in bed" to the end of every fortune I read from the cookies. It makes them funnier. So, your husband's would be, "...this is a great day to handle those real estate matters in bed," and yours would be, "he path of life shall lead upwards for you in bed." ..................................................................... lurking 0 #7 March 22, 2006 I love this: Hey, my fortune cookie says: "Help! I am kept as a prisoner in a fortune cookie factory!" ...That´s probably old, but I like it... Thomas
Eiley 0 #8 March 22, 2006 Mine would be creepy if I were superstitious. My SO and I spent 2002 in America doing the DZ-bum-for-a-year thing. We'd eat Chinese at least 3 times a week and always looked forward to our fortune cookies. We'd spend heaps of time applying the little sayings to what was happening to us at the time. You do those sorts of things when you're broke an on holiday. One night we got our cookies as usual - only his was empty. I made a joke about him having no future as we analysed mine. Two days later he went in (canopy collision). True story. nothing to see here
