Lindsey 0 #76 March 13, 2006 QuoteI used to consider getting one, but I think my body is beautiful without any tattoo. I'm thinking I may add to my body's beauty next weekend. I have Saturday off....could make a run to Blackbeard's. We'll see.... linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. ryno1972 0 #77 March 13, 2006 I have a couple, but is sure is becoming pretty "mainstream", espacially with shows like Miami Ink etc. I think the tatto craze got a boost when the chopper build offs started to be cool. Monster garage also kind of mainstreamed the attitude also.... If I were to get another it would totally have to be something that I thought up of. Luckily the one I have on my right bicep is one that I drew and an artist redrew and put on my arm. So at least mine is an original, no one else will have one like it.glad to be here!! PLFXpert 0 #80 March 13, 2006 I'm a little late to participate but: I have two small tattoos, one inside my left hipbone about 3 inches above Miss Virginia The other on the lower, middle back. Most of the time, I love having them. But, I also really love bare, untainted, perfect skin. Neither are ever visible except the one on my back when I wear a bikini. That's the one I really wish I didn't have sometimes...b/c I got it on my 18th birthday and now think to myself "Did I really get a 'tramp stamp'?" My boyfriend does not have any. He has said he's wanted one ever since we've been together. I'll bet money he never gets one But, we were actually just discussing this yesterday, b/c this girl was wearing a dress and he pointed it out to me (yes HE pointed it out to ME) that she has this huge tattoo on her upper back and how trashy it made her look in a dress. I agreed. To each their own, though. But that's when he said he still wants one, he just doesn't know what to get, etc. I have a love/hate relationship with tattoos on people. I either LOVE how they look on a person or think it makes them look horriblePaint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
ryoder 1,590 #81 March 14, 2006 QuoteThe only one that I have never understood is the Harley logo tattoos. Porshe owners just get jackets. I once saw a documentary on the history of the American motorcycle industry. As the were talking about HD, the narrator made the comment: "When your customers start tattooing themselves with your logo, that is Brand Loyalty!""There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones. vtamb81 0 #82 March 14, 2006 Quote Agreed. One time, a random woman saw my tattoo and said "Oh my God, that is ridiculous why would you ever do that to yourself?" It always amazes me how many close-minded people are still out there. They're definitely not worth wasting energy on.....although i agree that a well-timed witty comeback is sometimes just what the doctor ordered!
