Superman32 0 #1 March 10, 2006 I just spent the last 3 hours doing the most ridiculous thing ever. I went to a focus group to talk about men's cologne/perfume. They had an add with the (no offense) gayest model on earth next to the bottle. We spent 3 f'ing hours talking about the who the guy was, what he did, who he dated, where he went to school, yada, yada, yada... The most idiotic thing ever. At least I got some jump money for DUBLIN!!! Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

Lindsey 0 #3 March 10, 2006 Damn! And I just spent my time reading that shit! I'm totally with ya' though. Had a similar situation tonight....BUT I had to buy gas for an hour drive both directions AND I didn't get paid. But it's all in a day's work.... linz-- A conservative is just a liberal who's been mugged. A liberal is just a conservative who's been to jail
skybytch 273 #4 March 10, 2006 At least you got paid. I've spent about 3 hours today working on (okay, okay, and bitching loudly about) what has to be one of the silliest homework assignments ever. I truly believe that it is impossible to summarize 8 pages of dull and boring statistics in one coherent, grammatically correct sentence. Did you know that between September of 2002 and September of 2003 the number of people in the US volunteering their time went up by 1.4% and most of the people volunteering were women? bob.dino 1 #5 March 10, 2006 That actually sounds like a pretty cool assignment, if one that's probably impossible to perform correctly. Journalists have to summarise research all the time, and they often get the soundbite wrong. If you provide them with the soundbite they're likely to print that pretty much verbatim. Which can be handy.
BGill 0 #6 March 10, 2006 dude, who cares? you got paid didn't you? when i was in australia i did one of those marketing survey things for 3 hours regarding credit cards. just the various styles they were thinking of releasing, colors, those little annoying mini keychain ones, etc. but ya know what? i got paid $100, so it was all good. don't regret a second of it. enjoy the jump moneyoh wait, was this your first marketing survey? if so, ummmm... *cough cough*

And I just started a thread about volunteerism. (It's cause senior women outlive their men by a ton and volunteer once the man is dead)
