I've been banned, three times, I think, and the longest was for over a year (from SC, anyway). That qualifies me for your top five?

It still doesn't look like a personal attack to me, even moreso given what people are getting away with recently.

Banned prior to becoming a moderator. Not banned while a moderator.
I think that's not what we're talking about.
The trouble with discussions about this is that they devolve to arguments about the merits of specific cases. The issue, however, is that there are those who feel (and I'm one of them) that there are glaring inequities at times.
Being a moderator is a hard job, and I wouldn't want to do it. And I think that given the difficulties of moderating this site, the moderators here do a pretty good job.
But the inequities, when they occur, are...disturbing.
So, yeah, this time I do agree with Ron, and given that I'm on the hook for the beer, it's not agreement that is given lightly or without much consideration.

As for funks, we all know who is going to be kissing whose ass a couple of weeks from now, so I'm not at all worried about him coming anywhere near me. Or about any salty pirates.

So, did he have 2 user names banned? Or is this like 'consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole' for a heinous crime against the community?
