Kris 0 #7 March 7, 2006 QuoteHow Soon is Now is by far my favorite song of all time. I am a tremendous fan. I have 3 different versions of that track by different artists. Love it. I've been a big fan of Morrisey / Smiths since I was in high school quite some time back. In fact, I was just jamming to The Smiths "Best" in my car yestarday.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

SkymonkeyONE 4 #9 March 7, 2006 Anyone else catch his concert last month on Ovation? I think it was the Ovation channel anyway. Definitely that one or another one just like it on digital cable. Anway, it was fucking brilliant. a great mix of Smiths and his solo stuff. I only caught the last part of it, but I was stoked.
lazysunbather 0 #10 March 7, 2006 I don't get that channel.... sorry I missed it. His new album's coming out April 4th though and he's touring this year I become a total groupie when he tours.... any and all concerts I can afford to go to/drive to/fly to, I do. I saw that (on the LOGO channel!) and saw him at the Chicago Theater a few years back...his first concert after a long time...he didn't have a record contract because he was blackballed. livendive 8 #13 March 7, 2006 QuoteHow Soon is Now is by far my favorite song of all time. I am a tremendous fan. I don't know if it's my *favorite* song, as I'd be hard pressed to pick just one. But it's definitely top 5... and now stuck in my head. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)
lazysunbather 0 #14 March 7, 2006 I was at that show too.... Last year I saw him twice in Chicago (Aragon and HOB), in Milwaukee and Vegas.... I adore the man. He's done no wrong (except maybe Sorrow will Come) in my eyes.
MikeJD 0 #15 March 7, 2006 He, and they, have more imitators than ever now that 80s guitar pop is back in fashion. Heard some of the stuff by The Dears? They could be a Smiths tribute band on some of their stuff. And they're not even British!
ginandjuice 0 #16 March 7, 2006 I love "Girlfriend in a Coma". I'd have to say that is one of the top 5. SkymonkeyONE 4 #17 March 7, 2006 I used to get tremendous amounts of grief for listening to him/them by my ex-wife! She thought it was "kill your mother (and then yourself)" music. She just didn't get it at all.
lazysunbather 0 #18 March 7, 2006 I can't play Moz or The Smiths in front of my boyfriend at all. He HATES it so much he makes me turn it off.... he calls it "whiny" but of course, when I quote stuff, he thinks it's witty and when he hears the opening chords he likes it, up until the singing starts..... and he realizes who it is.....
