When I jumped off a tower from 400 ft., landed right next to a constable's car and he said something like, "I'm going to have to detain you." There is a certain clarity to moments like that and it was very clear in my mind that I was screwed. Yes, it happend just like that, and he held us until a sheriff's deputy arrived. After running warrant checks, the deputy let us go and told us he'd better never see us again. He didn't. I stuck to night jumps after that.
