ailithir 0 #1 January 17, 2008 (sorry if this comes up twice...I don't know what happened to my earlier post) I'm starting an AFF class in a couple weeks and after that most likely will be looking for a 'beginner' rig. I see a lot of equipment 5-10-15 years old and advertised in 'great shape'...what do I look for, guard against? I would think that a sale would be conditional on having a rigger look things over...does it work like that? thanks in advance
TheCaptain 2 #2 January 17, 2008 Do not buy a rig ( harness-container, reserve canopy, main canopy, AAD), until after you get past the AFF training. Canopy size will depend on your weight and canopy skills( and canopy size will dictate what size of container you will need). After graduating from AFF, talk to the instructors about what size of canopies and type you should buy. As far as goggles & altimeter you could purchase before getting through AFF but talk to the instructors about what would be best for you. Kirk

If it isn't; move on to the next seller.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
