NWFlyer 2 #3 March 1, 2006 QuoteFive Guys has some awesome burgers, there's one about a mile from me. Don Oh, wow, I totally forgot about that place. I used to go all the time when I lived in Arlington! Edit to add: holy shit, they've expanded in the 10+ years since I lived there. And there's ones down south near where my parents live now. I have a new mission for my next trip home.

bob.dino 1 #5 March 1, 2006 Number 9, when I stayed at the hotel. Wasn't all that great, and it tasted like it had been sitting for a while then reheated. Great decor, lousy room-service food.

NWFlyer 2 #8 March 1, 2006 QuoteNumber 9, when I stayed at the hotel. Wasn't all that great, and it tasted like it had been sitting for a while then reheated. Great decor, lousy room-service food. Well, yeah, room service food almost always tastes like that. Maybe I'll pop in there when I'm in New York in a couple of weeks and give it a try. Speaking of New York - I used to love the burgers at Jackson Hole when I lived there.
Mayberry 0 #9 March 1, 2006 Quoteholy shit, they've expanded in the 10+ years since I lived there. Yeah, around these parts now it seems there's a 5 Guys on every corner and they're always packed. Business is good!!Don Here's to friends!
Shotgun 1 #10 March 1, 2006 Funny you should post that; I was just thinking that a big juicy hamburger sounds nice right now. And now you have encouraged my craving... though I don't know of any good burger joints near my house, and I don't feel like making a drive... Oh, and I have never eaten at any of those places on the list. (And I'm sorry, but In-N-Out burgers are just OK. )
NWFlyer 2 #11 March 1, 2006 Cook one yourself. Some of my favorites are the ones I whip up myself. And talk to the hand re: In-N-Out.
Shotgun 1 #12 March 1, 2006 Umm, what is this word "cook" that you speak of? It sounds like it might involve me doing something in the kitchen, other than pouring myself a drink, and that would just be dangerous....

Broke 0 #19 March 1, 2006 I don't like that list. It dosen't say Why you should eat these burgers, and the Kobe Beef Burger isn't even mentioned. I also like because the sheer amount of meet around the Five Burrors there is a small chain of burger places by the name of Jackson Hole. What makes these so special, is the place is home to the 7 oz post cooked weight burgers.Divot your source for all things Hillbilly. I've only eaten at one of the places on the list, so I can hardly vouch for its credibility. But we've added lots of great stuff to the list, anyway. Any "best of" list is going to spark debate. Read later posts and you'll see I've already given Jackson Hole kudos.
usedtajump 1 #21 March 1, 2006 I've had Keller's # 5, pretty good but another Dallas burger that's even better is a Point burger from one of 5 different Point sports bars around town. The most unusual burger I've ever had was a garlic burger at the Cotton Bottom Club in Salt Lake City. The older I get the less I care who I piss off. Shotgun 1 #23 March 1, 2006 Well, now that you have me fantasizing about burgers... Casino El Camino on 6th St. in Austin (TX) makes some of the yummiest burgers (and they have the coolest pool room that is painted to look like you're in Hell), and there used to be a little dive called GM Steakhouse that had great burgers too, but I think that they closed down... Out here, the best burger I've had was at this little Mexican food restaurant in Perris called Amigos Tres (and it was pretty damn good). There is also a little place off of the 15 toward San Diego, called Nessie Burgers, that makes a pretty good one...

Hmmm... will be down there this weekend, though I was fantasizing about an In-N-Out burger. Might have to try the burger at the Mexican restaurant (I had their Mexican last time I was there and it was pretty good, too).
