Muenkel 0 #2 February 25, 2006 I have learned that a lot of good can come from a lot of heartache if you have the right perspective. If something really challenging happens in your life, it is often a very good thing in disguise. windcatcher 0 #6 February 25, 2006 Hi Jeffy! I never thought I would find a man who loved me, makeup or no makeup, a man who had my same beliefs and put up with me. I never thought I'd find someone to take the good with the bad concerning me. Nice thread btw. What's your answer? Mother to the cutest little thing in the world... SkydiveStMarys 0 #10 February 26, 2006 For me everything that has happened to me has all been good...I mean I may have not thought that at the time when things were rough, I went thru what I went thru to bring me out on the other side. Honestly..I never thought I would make it this far..I lived fast and partied hard & lots of "running"...I never thought that I would have an SO, kids that are wonderful, and a house that I have made into a home...trust me when I say...I STILL have a wild hair up my ass (), BUT I wouldn't have it any other way. I take chances...but priorities are different at various stages of life, sometimes you just have to act like a grown up.. BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude. RevJim 0 #11 February 26, 2006 The fact that I was able to meet, and snuggle with to keep warm, VanillaSkyGirl. That and the self portrait of that meeting (which has disappeared) is certainly one of the highlights of my skydiving life, if not my entire life. Such a wonderful person, vibrant smile, and contagious laugh. Yes, certainly an unexpected high point! It's your life, live it! Richards 0 #12 February 26, 2006 I married a wonderful woman who amazingly enough still puts up with me. Also I took up skydiving . I never had many interests and to be perfectly frank I only intended to do just one jump to have the experience and put it behind me. That led to doing another jump, which led to my deciding that I would just stay in it long enough to do one freefall....etc. It gradually became my primary interest. The rest is history.
