IBTOMP 0 #4 February 25, 2006 The band is Kill Hannah. The track is Kennedy. TomLife's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely and in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy sh1t...what a ride!" The111 1 #5 February 25, 2006 Damn, that video brings back memories. I was WAY into BMX when I was younger. Probably moreso than I am into skydiving now. In fact, I think I was even at that CFB contest in 2k2. I was never too good at flatland nor did I spend a lot of time on it, but everybody in the sport knows that flatlanders have progressed much further (relatively speaking) than is possible for a ramp rider (for endurance reasons). These guys practice their craft 6+ hours A DAY. The amount of skill seen in the video is only possible after years at that commitment level. Imagine what we could do in the sky if we had that kind of exposure time to the sport. Even the most active skydivers in the world (1000 jumps/year for example) spend far less than an hour PER WEEK actually practicing in freefall. I was more into ramp riding, and ironically enough, I'm scared of skateparks these days. I went to one a year ago and rode around for a couple hours, and all I could think of (besides how out of shape I was) was all the potential ways I could break another bone on my bike. I'm not nearly so scared while skydiving (which isn't necessarily logical).www.WingsuitPhotos.com
