chutingstar 1 #4 January 30, 2008 Ah...here's the info from the newsletter that I just dug up from November 2007...haven't had a request for them and haven't used them myself, but used to do this to risers "back in the day." Quote We round up our current lineup of swoop friendly features we present our low drag mini risers. The low drag mini's are typical type 17 risers zig-zag stitched in half just above the armored housings to reduce the drag of the risers through the air and essentially knife-edge through the wind resistance. We can also offer type 8 large risers in the low drag configuration. We especially recommend this for jumpers over 200 pounds getting an RSL equipped rig as the type 17 mini risers are not strong enough for those weights. The price for low drag mini's is $25.00 in addition to the price of the risers. MikeChutingStar.com
mktoson 0 #5 January 30, 2008 I'd imagine the masses will eat those up like hotcakes. Not that they'll make a difference to 99% of the people who order them. At least they'll have the latest, greatest, high-speed equipment! And in the end...that's all that matters right?Ah, the power of marketing!!! So far, this is the oldest I've ever been. Even white guys who can't jump buy them._____________________________________ Dude, you are so awesome... Can I be on your ash jump ?
gearless_chris 1 #7 November 9, 2008 I wonder if there is any noise difference if you have a sidemount camera?"If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. My momma said I could be anything I wanted when I grew up, so I became an a$$hole.
BMFin 0 #8 November 9, 2008 Quote I wonder if there is any noise difference if you have a sidemount camera? huh ? They are not magnetic risercovers if thats what you mean..
gearless_chris 1 #9 November 9, 2008 Sorry, I meant wind noise. My magnetic riser covers made no difference to anything, other than they stay closed until they're supposed to open."If it wasn't easy stupid people couldn't do it", Duane. BUBLHED 0 #11 November 10, 2008 I don't think that the drag of a mini riser is enough to make a diff. in swoop length and as said before Any rigger can sew yours shut. I do like the always open swoop loops, COOL. ? is how do they pack? Seems like they would take alot of room and possibly create a wear spot on the container. The leg pad covers are brilliant! slide it in all day and throw them in the wash at night, saving wear on the rig. I don't use a mirage but I will be getting the leg pad covers. Are at least having some made. ATTACK LIFE ! IT'S GOING TO KILL YOU ANYWAY!!!!
