WHich aircraft would you want jump out of full time..

Recommended Posts

Well, there are several types that I have yet to jump from, but If I had to pick one that would always be available, I would go with an Otter. Not limiting myself to other larger or faster aircraft though ;)

Disclaimer: No, I'm not a big plane snob, my first 180 jumps or more were out of a C-182.

Hot air balloon. It's a lot of time and work, but it's way too cool. One a day would be fine.B|

Agreed - balloon (if I knew I was always going to have an LZ) is great, but...

Other: Helicopter - :)

The Otter is simply the most efficient, good climbing aircraft there is. It has lots of room, is easy to fly, is easy to work on, is very forgiving, has a great door and because it is more common more people know how to exit from it. So, your skydives have a better chance of working when your dealing with a inexperienced group. Plus, you have to use it at nationals so you better get used to it.
HPDBs, I hate those guys.

I will always love the DC-3, The sound of those round engines starting up, the roar heading down the runway, lots of room to a nice nap on the way to altitude. big door and with a bar and steps you can get 10 people handing on the side. Nothing but class with that airplane.

Yeah, throughout this thread I have been thinking of Mr. Douglas. I've got to agree with you.
