squink 0 #51 February 22, 2006 I didn't think of that one either. For me it's Groupwise email, then hotmail, then Z100 for online radio, then PMS system I work on, then Excel, then back to dz.com to check pm's and such. Plus these always have to be in the same order on the bottom of my screen. Phew... ...the door was open SKYDIVERGIRLS.COM

RhondaLea 4 #62 February 22, 2006 You scored a total of 1. You have answered this self-report questionnaire in such a way as to suggest that you do not likely currently suffer from an obsessive-compulsive disorder. You should not take this as a diagnosis or recommendation for treatment in any way, though. But I scored a lot higher on the ADD/ADHD screen. fireflytx 0 #69 February 22, 2006 I scored a 19. I knew it would be high. I have OCD really bad. I wish it would just go away. It is really embarrassing at times and really upsets me that I am like this. It is definitely a flaw I so wish I could change. I know it has bothers those around me. I try to look at the positive, if there is one. Like if maybe I leave the stove on and in my routine checking things a million times I will catch it OR maybe checking my chest strap and my handles a ton of times in the plane will keep me alive. I have caught myself looking at my chest strap on exit even though I know I checked it a million times in the plane."Well behaved women rarely make history"

PLFXpert 0 #71 February 22, 2006 Iz OK, fireflyIf you're serious...you might want to look into cognitive behavioral therapyEven though the test showed I do not have issues...I think if anything silly like organizing gets in the way of you otherwise going out and having fun at times, then there's an issue. I've had to really work on that and always have to cognitively put things in perspective....the goal being to change your natural reaction to things for the better Edited to add: I think of it like martial arts of the mind---like martial arts trains you over time to react to certain stimuli in a different way than you would have otherwise. So, for example, someone is throwing a punch, you automatically block, rather than otherwise probably getting smashed in the face Having said all that....I've never seen a therapist or taken martial arts...this is just by what I've read on the subjects and I'm a TRUE believe in mind over matter. But that's a whooolllllle other thread alltogehter....Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.

Well, I'll tell you what...if I had taken that test during a severe hypothyroid episode, my results would've been a lot different--i.e., higher than you. OCD is biochemical, not psychological, and it can be easily treated with several different drugs. rlIf you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. PLFXpert 0 #75 February 22, 2006 Believe me, I understand the need for hobbies. I have a MILLION of them. Some people wonder how the hell I garden, take care of orchids, take care of all my pets & play with them, run, scuba, skydive, paint, do all the housechores and still have time for reviewing my fashion magazines, reading, dinner w/ my hunny, watching American Idol and 8 hours sleep! I move at the speed of light and am so flippin orgazined & effecient about my day that I multi-task like nobody's business.
