MICHELANGELO 0 #1 February 10, 2008 I would like to know more about a oxygen supply system for high altitude jumps cheaper than military models. These masks, bottles and suppliers are pretty expensive. For example, does anyone know about the system used in the recent 100-way CRW record. Press makes a mention to the system used as a "great little system" designed by Kirk van Zandt. If somebody knows him please pass him this message. billvon 3,008 #3 February 11, 2008 I've used two systems that work well. One is the Co-Pilot, a non refillable cartridge based system that gives you about 2 liters per minute (enough for most skydives.) Will fit in a jumpsuit pocket. It costs about $260 for regulator and 3 cartridges. New cartridges are about $20. You get about 8 minutes at 2lpm. Supplier Mojo's Gear. Second is the E-Ox 36 liter tank with a decent regulator. $85 for the tank, $120 for the regulator. Refillable and adjustable from .25 to 4 liters per minute; enough for almost anything. It's about the size of a 1 liter coke bottle, and will fit under your jumpsuit (but not in a pocket.) You get 18 minutes at 2lpm. Aeromedix is the supplier.
