Movies, missing parts...

Recommended Posts

I'd like to know what Forrest Gump said about the Vietnam war and I'd like to know what was in the brief case in Pulp Fiction. What movies would you like to know the missing parts to?

Someone asked John Travolta about this; His answer: "A light bulb and a bunch of batteries.";)
"There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.

what was in the brief case in Pulp Fiction

Remember the first time you were introduced to Marcellus Wallace. The first shot of him was of the back of his head, complete with band-aid. Then, remember the combination of the lock on the briefcase was 666. Then, remember that whenever anyone opened the briefcase, it glowed, and they were in amazement at how beautiful it was; they were speechless. Now, bring in some Bible knowledge, and remember that when the devil takes your soul, he takes it from the back of your head.

What is the most beautiful thing about a person: his soul. Marcellus Wallace had sold his soul to the devil, and was trying to buy it back. The three kids in the beginning of the movie were the devil's helpers. And remember that when the kid at the end came out of the bathroom with a "hand cannon," Jules and Vincent were not harmed by the bullets. "God came down and stopped the bullets" because they were saving a soul. It was divine intervention."

Atleast that is one theory.:P

Or you could simply take Tarantino and Avary at their word (c/o IMDB, because I dont want to hunt down the source):

# According to Roger Avary, who co-wrote the script with Quentin Tarantino, the original plan was to have the briefcase contain diamonds. This seemed neither exciting nor original, so Avary and Tarantino decided to have the briefcase's contents never appear on screen; this way each filmgoer could mentally "fill in the blank" with whatever struck his or her imagination as best fitting the description "so beautiful". The orange light bulb (projecting shimmering light onto the actors' faces) was a last-minute decision and added a completely unintended fantastic element.

# In a radio interview with Howard Stern in late 2003, Quentin Tarantino was asked by a caller the contents of the briefcase, and he answered, "It's whatever the viewer wants it to be."

Too many of my questions are of the type: Why can't we read the rest of the Time Travel book in Donnie Darko? Why does Ben Affleck continue to breathe? Did anyone really think that Catwoman- The Movie, was a good idea? When will people realize that Billy Bob Thornton isnt acting? What goes through Penny Lane's thoughts as the plane takes off in Almost Famous? Was American Psycho all in his head? Who thought having Jeremy Irons do commentary on the Dead Ringers DVD was a good idea? Who thought letting Kevin Smith do commentary on the new Donnie Darko DVD was a good idea?

TV's got them images, TV's got them all, nothing's shocking.
