so next time i'm down maybe we should all try for a 1/2 way place or something?

That would be GREAT! I'm in! :)
If you'll let me know in advance, I'll go by the old residence and see if I can stir up some scorpions and bring them along so you can kill them for me and be my hero! ;)

No, actually it was the Dairy Queen right there on 21, right down from Aggieland. Mike backed the truck into a bright red pole last June! It's a great memory! :)women drivers! >:(

Home is where the heart is. I happen to love it here. I've made a very warm, comfortable loving home. I have friends. I have a sweetie who is from here.

Life in Texas is good for ME! :)

I come to TX every other month on business. I love it there. Unfortunately it's the the DFW metroplex and not around you or Walt or 'Twardo, but someday perhaps we'll hook up...

Airtwardo and I both live in Houston. It is about 5 to 6 hrs. drive time from Dallas, I think. Boinky lives in the College Station area, which is (I think) roughly an hour and a half drive from Houston going kinda sorta toward Dallas.

That would really be a riot if we all got together!

Stay tuned, Walt... I'm arranging my next DFW trip as we speak... details soon...

Edit: Alright Walt, Airtwardo, Aggiedave, Boinky, any other dz.commer, looks like I'll touch down in DFW sometime in the afternoon of 2/23. Any chance on splitting the difference and having some beers?

Texas? I had to move here 9 years ago for my job
I'd leave this state now f i could.. I hate Texas

Sorry to hear it's not working out for you. Where would you rather be and why?

Walt

Probably St. Louis, if I remember correctly. He likes to jump at a small DZ in Missouri that he rents a little plane and flies out there on occasion.

Once I can actually SEE the calendar, I'll let you know...but sounds good to me.

One of you Texans who've been here longer than me...can you figure out a midway point for all of us?

No beer for me though. Yucky! Naffy stuff! :P

Mis-placed Texan in Nor Cal!!! Been in Nor Cal for 8 months now and.............it's cool. But, Texas is where it's at. I grew up in Odessa and lived in Dallas for many years...all of my good friends are still there and family too. Can't wait to move back;

There really is nothing in Centerville. Although I'm sure there's some smaller resturants, I'm not sure where they are exactly. Waco would probably be a better choice in just having more options of places to go. I think I'm working that day, so I probably won't be able to make it anyways.

Too bad Hico isn't the half way point, I know of a really good place there.:D

Texas is the greatest place on the planet. If I lived there I would be beating my chest and bragging. Long live Texas!
