We had a blind ass standing in the road while on a fuel mission (Iraq) every truck swerved either side of it trying not to hit it and hoping it wouldn't blow up. Well it decided to start walking and that it did right into the side of a trailer. It spun around so fast from the impact it looked like it was a top. airtwardo 7 #6 February 2, 2006 Kinda like the verbal 'report' I had to make last year about the "Flying Deer" I hit with our Demo Teams new cargo van... I was on Rt. 80 west in Illinois following a show in Wis. Going through an area of construction that had the east bound side shut down and traffic rerouted onto 1/2 the west bound side, with those 3 foot high concrete dividers separating the flow. Several 18 wheelers are going past me in the other direction when the screech of some rear duels brings me to FULL AWAKE. Looking straight ahead...here come this deer that must have been hit head on in the other lane, flying through the air...like 10 feet up....doing a slow barrel roll... I have about 3500 lbs of gear in this van, so evasive maneuvers are out...all I could do was DUCK as "SUPER DEER" impacts the left front side at a 'combined' speed of 80-90 miles per hour! It just EXPLODED... Same at this traffic report...Guts, Poop, & blood EVERYWHERE! Not to mention the damage! I pull over to the shoulder...after pulling a pair of legs outta the hood & grill.. I'm beating what's left of the head and 6 point rack out of the wheel well with a tire iron, covered in Blood, Shit, Sweat, Guts... and swinging a tire iron...cussing my head off....You Son Of A Bitch!! ...when an Illinois State Trooper rolls up behind me...
