Recommended Posts

I recieved this message claiming I won 950,000 USD from supposedly some company in South Africa.

1. Notice how the contacts email address is an address at yahoo.com. Why doesnt he have a company address???

2. The company is in a remote location. This is where the scam begins. The money must be wired after you provide your bank account information.

3. Any information you give will be used in an identity theft operation. If you get an email like this, DO NOT CLICK ON ANY HYPERLINKS AND DO NOT RESPOND TO IT IN ANY WAY.

Can we make this sticky? These emails are used for identity theft and can be dangerous if a link is clicked or a response is made.

No. If you're stupid enough to respond to one of these seriously, then you should not be skydiving.

By the way, these are not a scam - the guy sent me really official looking scans of the forms and everything

Maybe... they're psychic!?

Well, if they are they for sure KNOW that I won't be sending them any info.
Why do they have phone numbers on the outside of the Psychic's buildings? You know the one that says Psyschic! Call XXX-XXXX for appointment. If they were any good, they would know when I was coming.
