livendive 8 #51 February 1, 2006 Quote16 or 18 ga may be too thin. You can get what some piercers call "cheese slicer syndrome" where the jewelry pulls through your skin like one of those wire cheese slicers. Hurts like hell, leaves a bad scar, and you won't have the piercing any more. I know someone that happened to. It had migrated to near the end of her nipple, and then got caught on something and did that. I don't know if it was painful (imagine so), but either way she ended up with a split nipple. I never heard whether it healed...I should ask her. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)

(old fuddy-duddy opinion) Hey i resemble that remark. i dont have mine done yet but plan on. im going with 14 gauge at first though. i dont plan on gaugeing `em but i didnt plan on gaugeing my tounge tongue either. now ive got a 4! ps: im in the army, who'da thunk it I thought you get in trouble in the army when you get stuff like tattoos and piercings. My brother told me that when he was in. (He didn't get any.) Another guy I met recently said that in the marines, if you get yourself hurt at a dangerous activity, they'll gig ya for that, too. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... yardhippie 0 #55 February 1, 2006 QuoteOk,,now you have my attention,,how long did it take to heal? How long have you had it in? and do you ever take it out? The "dingle " one im talking about. I have often thought about it but never got specific about it... about 4 weeks is recommended. Although most never wait even close to that long. Check out BMEzine on the web. lots of first hand accounts and stories there. AND lots of good information.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #
Brains 2 #56 February 1, 2006 QuoteOk,,now you have my attention,,how long did it take to heal? About a month, not a big deal to me, i didn't have a girlfriend at the time. A friend of mine was having sex (protected) about a week later. QuoteHow long have you had it in? a little over two years. Quoteand do you ever take it out? The "dingle " one im talking about. I have often thought about it but never got specific about it... I take it out all the time, to change from a ring to a curved barbell, circular barbell, etc. I was pierced with a 10ga. and now i have a 4ga. I have taken it out and left it out for up to a week with no problems. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
