It reminds me of the oriental character tatoos that some folks get. Do they 'really' know what they mean? The tatoo artist could be jerkin' their string by telling the customer that it means 'Intellectual Man' or something like that. When actually it means 'I'll have the #-6'!

Our martial arts club had t-shirts made for the Fall Camp.
They had the name of the international association on the front in Japanese (theoretically).

A week after we sold them all, we told people that it said, "kick me in the nuts, I can't read the language". :ph34r:

The next year, we thought about actually doing that. :D
