NlghtJumper 0 #2 January 20, 2006 I don't think anyone in my family is the "black sheep". We all are so diverse in the things we like and do that hardly any of us match up on too many things. It makes the family gatherings that much more fun and interesting! Peej 0 #3 January 20, 2006 Black Sheep reporting for duty Ma'am! It's been a long running joke between me and my mom about how i'm the black sheep of the family. I'm the one who's had all the car accidents, the casual experimentation with drugs, the one who has no financial skills what so ever, etc etc. I'm proud of the title though. In fact, she even bought me a hoodie that she saw in a store cos it had a black sheep sewn on the right shoulder Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
SkydiveStMarys 0 #4 January 20, 2006 In my family it is like this......you do things our way, live your life this way, you accomplish things that NORMAL adults accomplish and everything will be ok. Do not deviate from said plan or else.. Bobbi aka Black SheepA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude.

Do not deviate from said plan or else.. My parents learned very soon after all 3 of their kids were old enough to think for ourselves, that that one simple rule, is completely out of the question. The only one who is turning out slightly normal is my younger sister. She is about to graduate High School in May and while getting her High School Diploma, she will also be recieveing her AA degree. She is insanely book smart, but is lacking a little in common sence compared to me and my older sister. My older sister did the drugs, I do the "crazy ass shit" as my family put is so nicely. Her and I both prefer to fly by the seat of our pants than to plan something out in great detail. It makes life more fun that way! divegoddess 0 #7 January 20, 2006 My family is pretty cool with accepting me for who I am. ... most of the time. But I'm a ballet dancer and everyone I dance with thinks I'm friggin NUTs because I choose to wear bondage pants instead of shoppping at the gap. none of them would ever think of getting their tongue pirced, or worse... their lip. When they ask me where I got my fur trimmed coat I tell them it's real muppet and I killed it myself. I kind of like being the black sheep though. At least I'm not fake. I am who I am. The fact that most people think I'm strange doesn't sway me at all. I like fast cars, hard drugs, and heavy metal. WTF would I want to shop at the gap so I could fit in with the rest of my peers? eew

I'm with you with that aspect...I do enjoy being the Black Sheep.....I have always marched to the beat of my own drum. I have tried everything. My father said to me one time..."Why? If you do things our way, you could have everything handed to you on a silver plater." Bingo!! I don't want everything handed to me, I want to work for it or get it other ways. My sister and brother have done it my parents way and they are the most stifled people I know....My sister has said to me on various occassions that she wished she had experimented with other things in life, like I did. OBTW...I do have a piercing...BUT I also shop at The Gap. It maybe an age thing.... BobbiA miracle is not defined by an event. A miracle is defined by gratitude. Why, if you don't mind sharing, are you the Black Sheep? I could use some company..... Bobbi Black sheep? Yep, that would be me. I hve one brother and while we were growing up he was always the "All-American kid" kind of guy. It's not that he was putting on some act--he really is just like that. He is a year older than me, so in elementary school I would generally get the teachers he'd had the year before. I always had this feeling they were a bit disappointed that I wasn't more like him. Never really mattered though, I've never been very good at not being me. Walt

None of us had settled down particularly well into a career etc. by the age of 30, but no one worried as long as jail, rehab, and parental support weren't part of it.
