Three days off. What to do, what to do?

Recommended Posts

I don't know what to do with myself. I took today off, and I'm all rested, and I have the weekend plus a day ahead of me.

I have no idea what to do. I could just work on Monday, but between now and the time my job ends, I probably won't have any more long weekends, so I really ought to do something.

And no, I'm not quite ready to get recurrent.

Whatever you do, don't sit around and postwhore. Trust me, that always feels like an empty weekend when it's done (not that I, uh, have any experience with those kind of weekends:D).

Play tourist. Do something that you usually scoff at because "locals don't do that." Go all-out - dress like one, too. B|

Road Trip.

Get in car. Start Driving. Figure out where you are going after you get on the road.

That was actually one of the choices I've been contemplating...just seeing where I end up.

Guess it all depends on what direction you start out... If you find yourself driving southwest I know where you'll wind up.. ;)

I would head south if I were you.

The way I'm feeling right now, I'd keep driving till I hit Cuba. Probably not a good idea.

Note to the smartass in Virginia...bite me. :P

800 miles/12 hours one way, more or less.

As I said....

4 hours 1 way sounds alot more reasonable... ;)

Cuba, remember? If I go south, I end up in the Atlantic Ocean.

I remember coming back from Bridge Day. I quit smoking about three hours after I crossed the Florida border, and I didn't have another one until I had a nicotine fit on the way back...right about the same place I was when I quit.

The same thing happened the next weekend when I went to NC.

It must be something in the air, because I was drinking bottled water.

ummm.....skydive?

Thinkin' about it, but I'm not quite ready to start jumping again. I want my life to be a little more settled, and right now, everything is up in the air...except me, of course. I haven't made a jump since July 18, 2001. It was just a hop 'n pop, and I didn't really expect it to be my last jump, but even though I hung onto my gear for another year, it turned out to be exactly that.

Anyway, I'm starting to think that instead of driving, I'm going to stay home, do some packing, catch up all my accumulated PMs (sorry, sorry, sorry to those who think I'm a total loser) and...

Gak!

That doesn't sound like much fun, does it?

Three whole days. And I love to drive.

What to do? What to do?

Fuck that!!
Get in your car. Start driving. Pick a direction and go.
Figure out where you are going when you get there.

Dont waste a 3 day weekend. You dont get many chances like this.

GO!!!!

Come to the greatest state of all, AZ, for which I think you have a particular affinity...:D

Unfortunately for me, Greg prefers European women. (I'm glad I know him anyway.) And the real toe-curling love of my life, Jack Jeffries, well...y'know, he kissed my cheek once, and I didn't wash my face for a week afterward.

I could go on and on about some of those Arizona boys...but I still can't stand Arizona.
