My condolences for your loss. Strange as it seems, my childhood best friend one day sent me a strange email, much like your post. He didn't state what happened, just that he seemed to be drunk and I didn't really understand what he was getting across. I hadn't seen him in a while so I didn't think much about it. Then a few weeks later my dad's asking me about an obituary he saw in the newspaper after returning from a 3 week vacation, which turned out to be my friend's mother. I felt so bad. She died from bone cancer, which I never knew about.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Loosing a friend is always hard because they are the people who know you and like you anyway. Remember the good times and share those memories so that others will know what a good friend he was.

I like the way you titled this. I've done this. I had something I needed to express and if it wasnt important to others, or no one really cared, it was ok. It was just something that at the time I needed to "throw out there". Bonus, you do find out that some people DO care. Hang in there.
