The deer was just trying to give that guys buddies a chance to laugh at him more i the bar later. Obviously no danger to the deer with a heart filld with public service feelings....

As a side, that guy should have his gun removed from his hands and smacked upside his head with it, maybe it will uncross his eyes...:S

I bet that dude was standing there agape wondering how the fuck the buck was still there after the first shot... :D

The hunter needs new glasses, but the buck was probably DEAF! :D:D:D

I think his glasses are okay. All four shots looked like they struck in a nice tight group, but to the left of the deer's chest. You can see a puff of sand where the bullet is hitting the ground. What he really needs is to check his rifle's zero - it looks like it is not shooting where he is aiming it. If he had come right one foot, it would have been perfect.

I had a deer act like this once to me, and it was baffling. Apparently I was missing with my shots, but I didn't understand how because I was really close. The deer stood there, motionless. I took three shots, all with no effect. I began to wonder if it was some kind of foam practice target that someone mounted in the woods. Then the deer bounded off, apparently unharmed, leaving no blood trail behind.

My brother-in-law has described this kind of thing too, while bow hunting. He took a long shot at a deer where he had to shoot his arrow up into the air at an angle. The arrow popped into the ground in front of the deer, and from the deer's perspective, this odd-looking stick just suddenly and magically sprouted out of the ground!

I think deer must "brain-lock", just like some 1st-time skydivers. They hear and/or see something unusual that they don't know how to deal with, so they just stand there trying to figure out what's going on.

I've seen worse, my buddy's step-son emptied his .32 Winchester while running towards the buck, ran out of ammo by the time he was within 30 yards of the deer and never scratched it.
You're right, he shouldn't be hunting....
