Yes, I was there. 5 days, 20 jumps (including a balloon jump with Skylord and JudyJ, a high altitude jump - yes, the first load without oxygen, a jump from the DC-3, my first horney gorilla with Wildcard145 and Gru, a couple of tube exits, participation in 4-way intermediate Airspeed Day, tunnel time with Eliana). I had a great time! But from reading the posts think I missed out on a lot of the fun . I left before NY eve. Loved seeing everyone and meeting people I hadn't met before. Craig taught me to bootie fly.. Eliana gave me the great confidence to actually turn in place... and Kirk... he showed me how much I needed to get my arms in front and fly my spot the before I leave the plane.. or get in the tunnel. And one day of great coaching.. thanks to DZ.COM for the 4way novice camp with Kirk! I mean my eyes are so much wider now. So many lights came on! I can actually understand what the heck I am trying to do. Jumped with following:: GReg Gasson:: OMG! he's better in person than what I fantasized about.. And he's so nice and kind and well.. I did my first sit fly attempts.. ass over tea-kettle but I did try.. twice. Even got to be apart of a train exit with the big guys from West Tenn (Dano and Stuart). Monkycndo:: Hey we did a perfect 2way.. levels and turning and keeping pace. McNeill and Skylord::: even though they didn't mention me.. guess the redhead pales in the light of these two.
