karenmeal 0 #1 December 30, 2005 Anyone know of any good scholarships or have any good advice of where to look for some? I've tried the various scholarship search engines without much luck; I'm a middle-class white girl, with little community service (I work and go to school) and no leadership. All I have is a good GPA, some small school-related volunteer things and a bunch of crazy skydiving stories. I'm planning to work as a speech-language pathologist. Any help is greatly appreciated! -Karen "Life is a temporary victory over the causes which induce death." - Sylvester Graham

They have given scholarships to students with disabilities, and I enjoyed their scholarships when I went to college. If they don't give scholarships to people wanting to serve the disabled, I'm sure they could help point you in the right direction..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
leapdog 0 #3 December 30, 2005 fafsa.com for the federal Pell grant. Apply for financial aid through your college. Sometimes the school you go to has a scholarships for more than excellent GPAs. Don't forget that when you file your taxes there are breaks for paying tuition. TheRus 0 #6 December 30, 2005 Try www.fastweb.com... they have a bunch listed. Also, go to your college's alumni association offices and ask them for info on scholarships. Many times they have a single form you can fill out which serves as an application for multiple scholarships at once. Yeah, it's fine, we'll walk down the line.
