How did you come up with

Old nickname from way back, based on similarities to my last name, as well as how grumpy I can be in the mornings (Scrooge McDuck). :P

During the slow changeover from chest-mounted reserves to pig rigs, lots of RW jumps were organized so that people with similar gear would be on the same load. A nickname for a chest-mounted reserve was a "belly wart," so it wasn't unusual for someone, say in the later 1970s, to be putting together a "wart load."

Mine needs a little splaining most times. It should read Simply Put Si. However I was not able to use _ or spaces when originally coming up with it so it became simplyputsi. It is after my car, a 2000 civic s.i. which instead of making a japanese nightmare is Simply Put.

I wasn't aware that my sign in name was going to be my screen name when I signed up, so I just used ccowden as my sign in name. Otherwise, i may have come up with something more original. But now, I kinda like it being my name. It has helped for people knowing who I am.

well, sinker used to be mine b/c I have a little excess baggage around the midsection. I got tired of that, so I became micro, which came from a 4th grade joke wherein me and my buddies made rude names for each other based on our initials. Since my initials are MD, my wonderful friends decided to name me "microscopic dick." So, for brevity sake, I became micro. I think it's quite funny myself.

Been a nickname ever since I flew my first hang-glider in the 1970's, which at the time, was actually made from of bamboo poles and plastic, and you really did hang on parallel poles under your armpits.

hmmm... come to think of it, it should have been "LuvtoCrash" if you count that. That baby flew like a stone!

I was in the Marines. a nick name Marines call each other is devil dog. the name was actually given to us by the Germans in WWI.

I put leap on the front of it because of jumping.

So leapdog it became.
