Y'know, Walt, I think I've known this asshole longer than I've known just about anyone.

He was doing his graduation jump the first time I ever laid eyes on him, and he has been a royal pain in my ass ever since.

But he's also the person who has put up with me cranky and crazy and pissed off and everything else, and he's never lost my phone number and he's forgiven me when I haven't returned his calls, and of all the people I know, I probably trust him more than anyone, because he has never lied to me, and he always tells me what I need to hear whether I want to hear it or not.

He also had the good sense to not let a very beautiful and wonderful woman get away. I don't know why she puts up with him, but she does, and she's a total babe. He gets big points for that.

On the other hand, he called me last night and kept me up past my bedtime, and he called me today at work, and people were laughing at me because I kept calling him a jerk, and I said to him a little too loudly, "I'm only calling you a jerk, because I'm at work, and I can't call you what you really are, you asshole."

He's an asshole, all right. But he's also a better friend to me than I deserve.

The stupidest thing I've done lately is not spend enough time with my dad. They found more cancer in his lung. I feel like when I do finally get my act together, when I do finally settle down and have kids, he's not going to be here to see it.

I'm feeling really sappy right now and the other stupid things I have done lately and for awhile now is not let people know how much I appreciate them and how much they mean to me. I have some of the best friends a girl could ever have and as much as I don't show it, please know that it is appreciated.

I have done much more stupid things, but since the question was recently...

Made a major life change decision partly because of someone else. It seems to be panning out ok since I have been trying to make lemonade out of all the lemons.
