popeyefireman 0 #526 December 17, 2005 So, after the responce from betsy....here it is. I have a raft, its a 3 person so its a good sive, and I don't care what happends to it. So I was thinking a raft jump would be great. I have never done one and was hoping some of you would want to get in on the jump, hopfully people who have done them. Betsy I am not sure if there should be a jump number limit, so if there is can you chime in and let us know. So if you want in PM me and we'll work it out and get the stuff done that needs done. Deuce 1 #529 December 17, 2005 All y'all listen up. Me and Iwan vanderSchoor are the official videographers of this event. When you do something noteworthy you have to get one of us to go with you. All you do is tell manifest when you "manifest" that either Deuce or Scooter are with your group. You also have to find us, and make sure we can make the load. It's freaking included as a benefit of the boogie! An even more amazing benefit is that Greg Gasson will coach and video your freeflying for NADA! Good LORD if I wasn't working for Betsy I would be so all over that. In the just as amazing category is that Omar The Amazing will freefly coach you for NADA as well. With Greg and Omar, you have to pay for their pack jobs. With me and Iwan, if you want a copy of your jump firewire or on DVD you can pay our pack jobs. Daily, Iwan and I will produce just about all the jumps in a concise format that will be viewed in the bar. Jumpers who have video they want included will have to get it to us very shortly after sunset. Check out last year's DVD by searching skydiving movies.com (somebody please do a clicky) Arizona law prohibits the display of nudity in places where liquor is served so just get over that or move to Arizona and amend the state constitution. I've been around a little. The SDA Holiday Boogie is the best there is. They have more airlift than Brazil. BRING IT! THE MOST EMBARASSING MOMENT IN MY SKYDIVING CAREER: (and if you know me, that bar is set pretty high) Two or three years ago at the boogaloo this really quiet soft spoken guy with long hair and a cool camera helmet comes up to me while I'm putting together a hybrid to film and asks if he can come along. I tell him most of the folks on the jump have pretty low jump numbers and I don't want to make things any more dangerous than they are. So, no thanks, maybe later. He calmly takes a deep breath and says "OK" and walks away. About 45 minutes later the lovely Pixie rounds me up and tells me she wants to introduce me to Greg Gasson. I'm like "Whoa! Cool! That's the guy who did the plane to plane jump, and climbs out of his rig under canopy and jumps out of Skyvans with bedroom furniture and is superhellacooliest!" It's the soft spoken guy with the cool helmet. He says "Nice to meet you JP". Gulp. For you camera fliers, Greg Gasson, Mike McGowan, and Brent Finley are about the nicest guys on the planet. It was Mike who finally taught me how to get a consistent RW filming exit out of the skyvan. When we do the daily's in the bar at night and you see a shot you are curious about, ask the video flyer.
