tigra 0 #51 December 27, 2005 Where I went to college, our "basic" math class (bare minimum required for graduation) was fondly referred to as either "math for poets" or "math for trees", and sometimes, "math for rocks" which could be where "math for geologists" comes from. I can't remember the class's "official" name, all I know is I put off taking it until spring term my senior year, decided to make it a "pass /fail" class when I saw they were doing basic fractions the second week and proceeded to blow off class on a regular basis (did I mention- spring term, senior year?) I damn near didn't graduate as a result- really had to bust my ass on the final exam!

Good luck, Im currently debating whether to take the GRE's in the next 8 months or the GMAT later. Waltappel, wish i had more math teachers over the years like you, sometimes it can be a turnoff though. ive never really jumped for joy over 3+ hours of math that i'd never use again...Tigra, im about to enter second semester senior year, give me motivation!!! good luck ladyskydiver! I heart skydiving BrettSo there I was... Making friends and playing nice since 1983
ladyskydiver 0 #53 December 27, 2005 Wow! Thank you so much! I definitely appreciate the info. And, thank you for the comment about comparing instead of calculating. I know that I have a tendency to want to calculate. I've got a paper practice copy as well as the free program the GRE gives you to practice, and I'll be picking up the Kaplan book as well.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly!
