Spain is only a short flight away and probably not too expensive!! Or, just start BASE jumping. BASE jumping in the snow is a fuckload'o'fun! Or make some fun! I live next to the Rockies in western Canada so I know plenty about closed DZ's and winter. BAckcountry skiing, ice-climbing, ski BASE, paragliding etc etc...............lots to do and keep flying.
