best. alarmclock. ever.

from mike's list:

the boys (and probably girls) over at MIT came up with 'clocky'. when the alarm goes off, you hit the snooze, then it rolls of your bedside table and hides so you have to get up and find it to shut it off when it goes off again. i need one of these. B|

been there, done that (twice), got the puke stained t-shirt(s). :S

I get my daughters back for that now! They don't get up on the first call, glass of really nice Ice cold water finds its way on their face. I have to do this about once a month, but then they usually get up when they hear my footsteps. ;)

once my girlfriend at the time woke me up with sex. Evidently I was "pitching a tent" in my sleep & she took advantage of me in my unconscious state.

If technology can come up with that, we will never need further improvements in alarm clock technology.B|

yeah, but your average guy would get woken up several times a night. not that it's a bad way to wake up, but you'd be pretty tired all the time!

Dear Clocky List Subscriber,

Just wanted to send you a friendly little update on the alarm clock that runs away and hides when you hit the snooze button.

News
..........

In October, Clocky was awarded an Ig Nobel Prize in Economics for ensuring that people get out of bed and go to work on time, theoretically adding more productive hours to the day!

On Friday, December 9th, around 7:40 a.m. EST, Clocky will be demonstrated on NBC\'s Today Show.

And Clocky will be a part of the New York Times Magazine\'s annual \"Year in Ideas\" issue, out on news stands December 11th in the U.S.!

Status
..........

If you haven\'t already heard, Clocky is about to be put into production and will be out by early next year. We are working hard to get him on the market as soon as we possibly can, and we think you will be happy with our \"ready for market\" design. He will bear some resemblance to his predecessor (pictured on www.clocky.net), but, among other changes, his body will be smaller, he will have a larger display and snooze button, and he will come in different colors! More details on his features will be forthcoming.

Because you\'ve already signed up for our mailing list, you will have a chance at a Clocky giveaway. After the drawing, subscribers will also have the first chance to buy Clocky online, before he hits stores. More details including price and commercial availability to follow ...

Questions?
..........

If you have any questions or comments, please email us at questions@clocky.net

Take care and happy holidays!

The Clocky Team
