MikeFB2764 0 #1 December 8, 2005 My apologies if this has been covered before. What is the fastest fall rate any of you have achieved belly flying? Some time ago, I made it to 175mph. Aside from the necessary skydiving gear, I opted to wear just sweats. I hopped out of the otter at 13,500 and arched as hard as I could until about 5,000ft, at which point I threw it into a reverse arch until about 3,000ft. There was no way I wanted to deploy going that fast.

MikeFB2764 0 #7 December 8, 2005 I see, maybe I should have been more specific. I meant what was the fastest fall rate belly flying by yourself...

plowdirt 0 #9 December 8, 2005 199mph, hows this for slowest, 135mph hard openings?? havn't had one yet I'm going back to bed now.
ryoder 1,590 #10 December 8, 2005 QuoteWow! My no drogue maxed out at 184... I'm not even sure we were maxed. When I dumped the data and graphed it, the velocity appeared to still be increasing at the moment the drogue was thrown. The field elevation was 5050 MSL."There are only three things of value: younger women, faster airplanes, and bigger crocodiles" - Arthur Jones.

lawrocket 3 #15 December 8, 2005 Yeah, Arthur. You posted a picture a few years ago where it appeared that you were actually on leave from the sideshow as the Rubberman. I did find this picture of your arch. Freak! My wife is hotter than your wife.

sd-slider 0 #17 December 8, 2005 I haven't tried too hard yet......But, I average ~150 with a stable arch(not hard). I'm 6'1 ~250 without gear and she weighs 30lbs. I'll try the "Ankle Grabber" this weekend and report back on what I achieve.Anvil Brother #69 Sidelined with a 5mm C5-C6 herniated disk... Back2Back slammers and 40yr old fat guys don't mix! Viking 0 #22 December 8, 2005 haha well my arch has progressed just a tad. This is how I got my top speed, but in the air i had a little bit more of a curve to the whole thing.I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
jeiber 0 #23 December 8, 2005 Fastest belly was 180 something with very little arch. Was at a little over 30,000' though - air was really thin! Slowest was in the low 90's in a track. Not bad for 270lbs exit weight! JeffShhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
