"Heart of the Matter" by Don Henley.
"I'm learning to live without you now
But I miss you, Baby
The more I know, the less I understand
All the things I thought I figured out, I have to learn again
I've been tryin' to get down to the Heart of the Matter
But everything changes
And my friends seem to scatter
But I think it's about forgiveness
Forgiveness
Even if, even if you don't love me anymore" - goodness, how I felt that was once, even though I never did anything wrong, but she thought I did.![[:/] [:/]](/uploads/emoticons/dry.png)
My wife is hotter than your wife.

Don Henley has written some great stuff, and that's one of 'em. Last Worthless Evening is kind of a redemption version of that song.

I agree with our national anthem. Every season at the last regular season home game, the baseball Cardinals do not pay anyone to come in and sing the anthem. The organist gets the song started and then you and 50,000 of your closest friends sing it a capella. I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

That, is just too cool! What a great idea.

He'll never be on any magazine's "sexiest men alive" list, but he seems so very genuine and talented that I think he's fine just like he is.
See that's the thing. I actually find Lyle incredibly sexy because he's so talented and funny. I can kind of overlook the fact that he's kind of goofy-looking.
This has got absolutely nothing to do with music, but there's a TV show called "Dr. G, Medical Examiner". Here's a link. Anyway, I don't know what it is about her. She's hot (to me, anyway).

I agree with Bobbi....I normally think Rascall Flatss are a bunch of whining "really need a good swift kick in the nuts by John Wayne" babies, but I love the new one they put out called Skin.
I also have a hard time listening to Confederate Railroad's - Daddy Never Was the Cadilac Kind. It is the song that makes me think about how much the day my dad leaves this world is gonna suck. (Not that he is close or anything, but just as I get older I am getting closer and closer to my family....and yeah)

"No Need To Argue" by The Cranberries, ever since it was sung a-capella 1996 in church at a good friends funeral who shot himself at age 19. My eyes get wet everytime... just reminds me of how we all should STFU, stop fighting and celebrate life because it's so damn short and could end anytime.

Played at a friends funeral. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.
I think I heard that one at another funeral myself... along with Taps, and the gun salute... Nothing like a military funeral to get the waterfall started...

Nans song
You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to leave
You went to a better place but He stole you away from me
And now she lives in heaven
But I know they let her out
To take care of me
There's a strange kind of light
Caressing me tonight
Pray silence my fear she is near
Bringing heaven down here
I miss your love I miss your touch
But I'm feeling you every day
And I can almost hear you say
'You've come a long way baby'
And now you live in heaven
But I know they let you out
To take care of me
There's a strange kind of light
In my bedroom tonight
Pray silence my fear she is near
Bring your heaven down here
You taught me kings and queens While stroking my hair
In my darkest hour I know you are there
Kneeling down beside me Whispering my prayer
Yes there's a strange kind of light
Caressing me tonight
Pray silence my fear
She is near
Bringing heaven down here
The next time that we meet
I will bow at her feet
And say wasn't life sweet
Then we'll prepare
To take heaven down there
You said when you'd die that you'd walk with me every day
And I'd start to cry and say please don't talk that way
With the blink of an eye the Lord came and asked you to leave
