scaryshari 0 #2 November 29, 2005 For the backpain, I recommend Ibuprophen. However, it is "dangerous" to mix laughter and sex. is

skychick312 0 #4 November 29, 2005 All are great for back pain.. laughter may hurt a little more than the others, but in the end it will be worth it! Dont mix: any of the pain killers with alcohol... laughter with sex might send the wrong signal... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Be the change you wish to see in the world! Dont mix: any of the pain killers with alcohol... laughter with sex might send the wrong signal... narcotic pain killers (derivitives of the poppy: hydrocodone, codine) and their generics dont mix well with alcohol because each exaggerates the others tendency to slow breathing and heart rate. Ive been know to mix to two for minor back pain(muscle related): hot tub, lots of water(to drink), and a hottie in a bikini(or not). J~ that only depends on the situation! laughing at falling off the bed or something... funny. laughing at your SO's sex talk, not so funny! Scoop 0 #7 November 29, 2005 I had some tablets after an operation once, was co-codamel or something like that. Any medical people in the house? Anyway it containes Codeine and if you took one it was good, two couldnt feel a thing. And if you took three everything was numb and was kinda like floating on air. Think they are only available on prescription though!

DrewGPM 0 #10 November 29, 2005 I have back pain all the time...muscle problems, compressed disks and pinched nerves. Sometimes it's just one, sometimes it's all three. The only thing that works for all my issues is Aleve.

masterrig 1 #12 November 29, 2005 Depends on the cause of the back pain. If, it's chronic and to the point of not being able to move, I'd see a doctor. If, the back pain is the result of laughing during sex, I'd say... a good stiff drink! Chuck

RhondaLea 4 #14 November 29, 2005 You didn't allow for multiple picks. I don't think sex is the answer for back pain, although I do think it can fix many other problems, physical and otherwise. Ibuprophen is good, but I always take it with ginger. Ginger has pain relieving qualities of its own, and it's gentle on the stomach. 1000 mg. every time you take the ibuprophen works just fine, and if you add cayenne (100,000 Scoville Heat Units), you're ahead of the game. I wouldn't mix alcohol with Tylenol. rlIf you don't know where you're going, you should know where you came from. Gullah Proverb

vt1977 0 #21 November 29, 2005 You can get co-codamol over the counter in the UK!!! I had co-dydramol after my wisdom teeth surgery - that was good stuff. I was told that I coudl combine it with ibuprofen if need be - and that was really good! I had morphine once as a kid (after surgery - felt like I was floating!) and I have also had dihydrocodiene which was pretty excellent too. Muenkel 0 #23 November 29, 2005 Now that everyone has managed to confuse you, I shall confuse you more. Seriously, you do not mention the severity or the frequency of your back pain. I personally would start with ibuprophen (Advil) because it is an anti-inflammatory and is not a narcotic. You can take up to 800mg at one time, but only twice a day. You can mix this with alcohol as it is not dissolved (I know I am using the wrong word here) in the liver. Wine with it also helps to relax the muscles that are in spasm. Also on the safe and more natural side are hot baths. Another is alternating heat with ice. As was mentioned above massage and/or chiropractic is excellent. Another option is accupuncture. Now if you have the "Holy shit i can't stand the pain", then a narcotic pain killer would give you temporary relief. Depending on what you personally can tolerate, there is Percocet, Demerol, Vicodin, Tylenol with codeine, etc. Alcohol should never be mixed with any of these drugs. Also, these are only a temporary relief as they are addicting. If you are in this kind of pain, once again a chiropractor may be able to help you. If not, medical assistance is definitely necessary. However, don't let an orthopedic talk you into surgery until you have exhausted all natural and non-invasive means to correct the problem. Feel better soon, Chris _________________________________________ Chris

lawrocket 3 #25 November 29, 2005 Aleve. Aleve. Aleve. The single best over-the-counter analgesic known to man. I love my naproxyn sodium, and when the joints or muscles are acting up, 2 pills will, within a half hour, leave me feeling better all day. Because you can't afford to be living and working in pain when there is relief available. My wife is hotter than your wife.
