crashland 0 #12 November 22, 2005 Hmm I see some negitive people were having, I'll try to help as much as I can. What do you mean it crashed your system? Did you have to reinstall your os? And what OS are you guys using? Slow running. OK there are some things you can do with the interface its self to help. When the login screen comes up go to preferences, click "advance graphics" and look for object detail, tree detail, set the slider to half. also set draw distance to 64. click "Graphics" and uncheck any of the boxes in Preformance options, an set terrain detail to some or none depending on how old your system is ok one version did crash and wouldnt work I posted a fix to this here a few weeks ago. all you have to do is find your installer and just reinstall it you dont have to uninstall the old. Once you bring up the game it will prompt you to download the updates. video crash ok Si is designed for agp cards "Accelerated Graphics Port" Pci will work to but the key here you need at a bare min,64mg. OK i repair and build computer on the side and I don't like to get to tech, on people so ill make this easy go this link http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html and download this program. what this does is show you everything about your computer, programs installed even hidden ones. ram size, hd type and gegs, and yes your graphics card and mg it has. one other thing if you have anti virus software make sure its not running,"some like nortan run in background," and firewalls can be a problem well let me know pm me or respond here or my yahoo id is trint_one leave an offline if you wish crashland walcott blue skies

skycat 0 #14 November 22, 2005 Are you advertizing about the game anywhere beside DZ.com? What is the goal of creating the game, is this beta and then something that is going to be sold or having paying members?Fly it like you stole it!
mailin 0 #15 November 22, 2005 NO offense or anything - but the game got pretty old real quick - no one was EVER on. I was on in the begining when it was first advertised and again last week - no one was ever on and it was hard to do ANYTHING in that game. THe amount of money they gave you was really lame and the graphics etc. didn't work on all systems. I work as a computer programmer, so I'm well aware of the work that goes into it. but don't blame us for a poor product. Had it been a better/more appealing product, you would have the numbers you need. JenArianna Frances

And what OS are you guys using? I didn't say it was the cause of my system crash, but my computer always acted funny after playing the game. It was just one of the options I had for my crash. Yes I had to reinstall my os which is windows xp media edition. It's no big deal. I don't think the game caused it, but I haven't reinstalled it.Skymama's #2 stalker -
shellybellyfly 0 #19 November 22, 2005 They are advertising in a few places, but thsi is mostly word of mouth. The goal Wells Fargo had in mind was to teach people to save money. It is beta, but from what I have heard there will not be a charge for it ever. It will stay in beta through the end of the year, then they will decide whether to continue it. shellybellyfly 0 #20 November 22, 2005 Well not to sound rude, but the game has grown quite a bit since it first started. There are people on there every night. Maybe not every minute of every night, but cmon. A new place has to have time to grow.... They're made a lot of updates and are working really hard to make it better. Please come check it out and see how much better it has gotten before you make a post like this. Let people decide for themselves. And yes, not everyone will love this game. But it's a fun place to get together and chat with a group of skydivers. Crashland was just trying to help people out since it seemed a lot of people have computer problems. Also, the graphics work the same as they do for the similair game on secondlife.com. PS: If anyone needs money for the game, come see me.... I will tell you a secret! Too complex. Everything takes 20 clicks. I will read a game manual for something requiring lots of strategy, not for simply wandering around a virtual world. Sorry, There.com didnt seem as complex. 2. Dull.....sorry, There.com had the same flaw from my perspective, gamestyle content offered in a world where it's trying to provide interaction. So instead of interacting I try to play the content - but because it isnt really a game the content itself isnt overly complex or engaging in the long term (GTA does skydiving/base better). 3. If I want to chat I'll use IM or if I'm desperate I'll use IRC. I dont want performance issues and need a graphics card simply to do a gesture that a few well chosen words will convey. 4. I'm a guy, I dont like to play dress up - especially with fake money that requires me to get additional funds. Urm, its annoying. Not everything requires a price tag in life, games that forget that tend to piss me off. (on the plus side the game doesnt have a feeling of being a complete whore unlike There.com's constant buttsex with Nike, Gap and whomever else will throw money there way). 5. On that subject: Cybereconomies. F that. If Stagecoach is the sort of thing that floats your boat I wish you luck. To me its too bloated to communicate with people regularly and the content is too lame to try and play with regularly. It's complexity nullifies any casual interest because you have to read the freaking manual to do anything. Skydiving in GTA - get rig, get altitude, jump, hit a button - I can even move around in the air and it didnt require a manual to work out how to do any of those things! Oh, and it's free. And it doesnt lag, stutter or draw junk on my screen. Of course, you're more than welcome to ignore what ive said as negativity in the same way that you would if I called your baby ugly, or you could accept that some people, including those with over 15 years in the industry (and this space), might have had a negative experience with the game and offer some honest opinions in the hope that it might help.
