gremlin 0 #1 November 21, 2005 A friend of mine is interested in doing a tandem powered parachute ride in the UK. Does anyone know of any websites where I can get some details? Thanks. I'm drunk, you're drunk, lets go back to mine....
Ashtanga 0 #2 November 21, 2005 I live in Cuba and I won't risk taking a boat over to the states so I fly a powered parachute instead. Easier and safer. Here are some websites... http://www.powerchutes.com/ http://www.easyflight.com/
Channman 2 #3 November 21, 2005 Google Fresh Breeze Powered Paraglider. They have a two seat Xcitor model which looks pretty cool. Paragliding can be fun and safe, just insure the pilot not an idiot. My only experience with a Powered Paraglider ended upside down in a Rice Field. We were very lucky not to have been seriously injured.

I wondered who that was riding with him when he did that. Pretty stupid if you ask me. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you. jakee 1,563 #6 November 21, 2005 British hangliding and paragliding association, linked to the paramotor section. They have an outline of the sport, list of all british schools etc etc. Anything your mate needs to know is probably around there somewhereDo you want to have an ideagasm? upndownshop 0 #7 November 21, 2005 QuoteThanks - will forward the sites. Are those things jumpable? ADAM They fall under the experimental rules(USA), which means that you can take an "instrutional" flight..but nowhere does it say you have to land with it. I have 2 "instructional" flights in one, and a Barrell roll
PhreeZone 20 #8 November 21, 2005 Try telling the "experimental" thing to the Collins Foundation then, their B-17 or B-24 needs to have lots of student pilots again at WFFC this year...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
velvetjo 0 #9 November 21, 2005 QuoteAre those things jumpable? They sure are. Do a search on here for exit techniques if you're interested. Also try skydivingmovies.com, I posted a couple of movies of an exit on there a while back. Lance

I could have my terms (classification) confused, but I do know that is how the pilot explained it to me. I dont claim to be an expert. Yes B-17 ,B-24 that would be nice!
