Girlfalldown 0 #1 November 10, 2005 Last night I was having dinner at this sushi restaurant and when we were finished they brought out red bean and green tea ice cream. Actually it was mochi and it was really yummy. It got us wondering, what other kind of things could you make ice cream out of that aren't the norm? The only thing I could come up with was sweet potatos and yams. I've had wasabi ice cream and garlic ice cream and both were suprisingly good. How about tomato ice cream? -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

NWFlyer 2 #6 November 10, 2005 QuoteThey should have an icecream BAR and liquor that stuff up. Find a way to freeze the alcohol... What about rum raisin? Is there really no alcohol in that? Probably not... There was a bar in my college town that would do frozen ice cream drinks ... like a frozen toasted almond (vanilla ice cream, Kahlua, amaretto, and chocolate syrup all blended up). Now *that* was yummy.

Things that make you go hmm: The Mitchell Brothers founded the strip club called O'Farrell Theater in San Francisco. Farrels was an ice cream shop we used to go to when I was a kid. Now they are serving purple yam ice cream at mitchell's. Coincidence? I think not! I have never had purple yam ice cream there. Quote Oh, I forgot, you moved to the burbs. You also forgot that my commute takes me completely through San Francisco twice a day so I still spend plenty of time there. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.) I'll never forget one of my earliest girlfriends (she came by my first job pumping gas during the first gas crisis where gas went over $1 a gallon for the first time. Ha, I even helped teach her to drive)....Anyhow, she had been drinking the precursor to diet coke (Tab) and it was the best tasting french kiss to date at that point in my life. I think a Kamikaze flavored french kiss ice cream would be good. Kamikaze French Kiss. Big seller.
