Finally!

Recommended Posts

My efforts all year have finally paid off. The #3 hospital in the country as far as volume happens to fall in my territory. I've had so much pressure to convert this account and it's been so slow go. I've brought in resources, key people from my corporate office, continuing education opportunities for the docs, nurses, techs, etc. I've uncovered every stone and developed advocates and coaches to make this happen.
This is a huge success within my company. I went from not doing so well in my upper managements' eyes to being a super hero.

I told them to hang on and be patient and that it'd happen..just give them time.

It's been a long haul, yet today they signed the contract to partner with me and my company. I get the reap the rewards first and second quarter 2006.

Thanks Jack! This has been a long time coming with loads of top-down pressure for 9 months. My boss was out of town when this happened which makes it even better.

The Corporate person who was in town today said she'd also go to bat for me to get my commissions for my accounts which aren't on my "target" list. She's going all the way to the top (which my own boss won't)...woo hoo..hope I get paid for that too.

Thanks. I have been in need of some positive things lately. It's been a challenge to keep being pesistent with my job with recent life events, but I made myself get out there and use it as a healthy distraction.

After they signed the contract, we didn't have the typical business handshake, we hugged. It'll be a nice win/win partnership.

what kinda stuff you selling? PICCs? Ports?Stints, filters, stuff like that?

My product is used during PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) when a patient is getting a stent. It's a direct thrombin inhibitor.

oohhhh its a clot buster for putting in stents. Coolio:)

Nope, not exactly. A "clot buster" is actually a thrombolytic or fibrinolytic such as Tpa, TNK, or Retavase (used to sell that too). Those are used when a patient has a myocardial infarction.
My product is more preventative vs reactive.

When a patient undergoes PCI, it's an invasive procedure. The body's natural response is to recognize it as an injury, thus rushing platelets and thrombin to the site of injury causing a clot. This is something we don't want to happen while placing a stent. My product works on clot bound and circulating thrombin which heparin only works on circulating. After the procedure is complete, we shut off the infusion because that is when we do want to return to normal hemostasis. Good stuff!;)
