Freefly Jumpsuit

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a high quality freefly two-piece jumpsuit. I need something super baggy as i have a tendancy to fall extremely fast.

Any recommendations as to which company?

Can you select an extremely baggy option for most orders, or would I be better off just adding several inches to measurements all around?

I'll be using it for sitflying, head down (once I figure out how to actually hold head down) and for coaching & instructing.

Of course...I also would like a suit that looks cool ;)

What do you recommend?

I'm willing to spend the money, if it means something that I can use for quite a while, won't fall apart on me, while also being effective.

Thanks.

I know its not a 2 piece suit but I bought a Deepseed freefly suit. I too fall like a rock and explained this with them and they suggested the heavier duty material and a looser cut and it only bloody works! Just helped bring my range down a bit which is great as being a newbie I haven't got great control of fall rates yet so it gives people half a chance to keep up.

I recently ordered a suit from Liquid Sky. Excellent quality and GREAT customer service. I called Julio on a sunday just to get a couple of details and we ended up talking for almost an hour. He went into great detail about the construction of his suits and what I was looking for. I sent him my measurements that night and he started fabrication the very next day. He called me 3 or 4 times to confirm different measurments as he was working. He has a video posted on you tube that demonstrates how to take each measurment to ensure accuracy.

FYI...simple design=quick fabrication.

I highly recommend Liquid Sky. Julio wants you to get exactly what you want.
I noticed that you're gangster...I'm pretty gangster myself...

I'll second Liquid Sky. I've had mine for over a year and 600+ jumps. Still looks great and has held up very well. I sent mine back to Julio for some "extra" mods recently and he had it back to me in less than 7 days.

Without a doubt, the best customer service in the jump suit bizz.
Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.

Ill go along with the past two posts and push for a Liquid Sky suit. I have bought FF pants, Swoop shorts, and recently a custom one piece suit from Julio and absolutely love them all. I personally like the one piece better and mine is a bit more form fitting but you can tell Julio exactly what you are looking for and he will make it to your liking.

Have you considered lookiing at a Vertical Suit? I have a one piece FF suit from them and love it! Well built suit. Plus the suit is manufactured in Canada, so its nice to have my canadian money stay if canada (when ever posible!)

I can also recommend a Deepseed.

I got a one piece from them and it is absolutely phenomenally made. Flies great, sick quality and looks way cool. Here's the design (no pics sorry):

customer support was awesome too and I would surely recommend it for everything you are trying to do.

also they are fairly priced too in my opinion costing as low as ~170 in US dollars.

I'll fourth Liquid Sky. Julio Ruiz is getting it right. There are others out there that are good but Julio's service is very personalized and one on one. You're pretty much dealing with the guy that's putting it together. Although he does have a seamstress he does a lot of the work himself.

With all these recommendations for Liquid Sky, and their wicked looking freefly suits, i think I may just need to buy from them. I've sent them an e-mail so hopefully they can do what I need done.

Sometimes, it sucks being a fat tard :P (Although it definitely helps with that wind loading ;) )

I'd strongly discourage you, and everyone else, from adding inches to your measurements - rather, give them your exact measurements, and tell them how you fly, and what you want the suit to do for you.

Any quality FF suit maker will be able to get an idea of your body size and make a suit with the correct amount of drag that you need, if you communicate with them.

I've seen quite a few people get in trouble by adding inches to their various measurements, trying to 'second-guess' how the suits are made and how baggy they want them .... and then their suit flat-out doesn't fit/needs a bunch of alterations.

Best,
Dawn
