Elisha 1 #2 July 30, 2005 Yeah, like I want to completely burn my mouth. Remember the wasabi snorting scene in Jackass the Movie? O....M....G....THAT looked to be one of the most painful things ever....worse than when he stuck the matchbox car up his pooper at the end.

tbrown 26 #5 July 30, 2005 Had some wasabi cashews at a party a few weeks back. Forgot what "wasabi" was until I popped 'em in my mouth and then I suddenly remembered (oh yeah) ! Fortunately I had a nice pint of Anchor Porter in my other hand and it was a BIG help. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
brm04usna 0 #6 July 30, 2005 Wasabi peas are basically dried peas that are coated in wasabi. Wasabi is kind of a Japanese version of horseradish - it's greenish and very hot/spicy. Commonly eaten with sushi, some people like it with anything. The peas are eaten kind of like nuts, but imagine a pea soaked in habanero tabasco sauce. Makes you wish for that porter. peacefuljeffrey 0 #8 July 30, 2005 Sheeooot, I don't know what brands I've had, but I've had like two of them. I love those things! Oh, um, for the record, any "Wasabi Peas" you get are verrrrry unlikely to contain the actual wasabi root on them. I read in an article that wasabi is extremely expensive and when restaurants say "wasabi," they really mean some type of green-dyed horseradish. -Jeffrey-Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind...
