G3 riser covers opening in freefall

Hi all,

My riser covers have been opening sometimes during higher speed sit flys, and most times I attempt (short lived) headdown.

The other day, my bright yellow steering toggle caught my attention during a sit, as it waved around over my head...

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Have your rigger examine it. Might be a bulk distribution problem or wear on the riser cover system - broken tuck tab or something? Mine keep popping out so I think I'm going to have to open it up and give it a massage (or a repack).

A friend of mine had the same issue. He contacted Mirage and they shipped him out a set of slightly larger tuck tabs which his rigger sewed on.

Contact them. they have great customer service

It might be your reserve. Sometimes when the top of the reserve is packed not thin enough the covers come undone to easy.
I just saw this beeing the case two days ago.
Check if the riser covers are bend (the part which goes under the riser).
They should be flat. A reserve repack fix it. Compare with other rigs.
